My Background

Photography has been part of my life for nearly 30 years.

From watching my first image emerge under the orange darkroom safelight through to the digital revolution.

My favourite photographers include Henri Cartier-Bresson, Robert Doisneau, Andre Kertez and Brassai for the way that they manage to capture "the moment". That almost intangible element that makes a "Good" photograph "Great".

A couple of my favourite images are Jane Bown's portrait of playwright Samuel Beckett and Kiss by the Hotel de Ville by Robert Doisneau.

Over the past three decades I have been lucky enough to photograph people, places and events around the world. Now I work mainly across the UK doing reportage weddings, children's portraits, various commercial projects and when I get time, producing real-world and online exhibitions.

Having spent 25 years in Norfolk, I currently live in Staffordshire.
